Membership Dues
Membership dues can be paid up until November 13 for renewal of current membership in the Polka Lovers Club. $10 per member. After this date, non-members will no longer be receiving our club news via emails.
If you want to renew your membership by mail:
- Enclose a check made out to the “Polka Lovers Club”.
- Enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope if you wish to have the “24” stickers mailed to you. If you don’t include the envelope, you can pick up “24” stickers for badge at the next dance.

Change of date for March 2024 dance
Due to the Eisenhower Rec Center Maintenance Schedule, the room we usually have on the 2nd Monday of the month, is not available. Therefore, the new date is Sunday, March 3. Yes, a Sunday! We will remind everyone of the date change as time goes on.
Italian/German Parade October 13th – Friday
Held at Spanish Springs. Parade starts at 3 pm. We would really like to see many of our members marching in the parade this year. If you wish to bring your golf cart, we have space for 3 more golf carts. Please contact Pat Murawski at 352-259-2463. Looking forward to seeing you march with us. Pat needs to know you will be attending. Info will be provided to those wishing to join us. Meet other members and join in the fun. If you can’t march, support the Club by coming to see us in the Parade.
October 9, 2023 Dance
Reminder that October Dance tickets are available.
Enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope with the $10 fee per Member ticket; $15 for Guest tickets. Checks only — made out to “Polka Lovers Club”. Tickets will then be mailed to you.
November 13, 2023 Dance
Tickets will be available starting October 1, 2023. Barbara Lenkus will be in charge of the November tickets, which are FREE for all members. However, Guest fee is $15 each. Zupe will be our band for that evening. Information to follow next month.

Ron Witkiewicz Resignation as VP
It was a complete surprise to all Committee Members this month when Ron Witkiewicz announced he was resigning his role as VP of Polka Lovers Club due to health, etc. Ron wrote a resignation letter in which he included a beautiful thank you note to all the members for the years he enjoyed being VP. “Many memories and friends”, he said. Ron was recognized at the September Dance. He and his wife, Loretta, will continue attending the Polka dances. Ron will be missed as VP by many.
